My review below is intent ally kept fairly simple. I hope you watch the video to appreciate the true excellent quality of this projector but also consider that movie files are compressed when uploaded so the “real-life” picture is even better than what you are seeing here.
The projector has a variety of input options including an HDMI, a VGA and an AV/Video connection. This multiple connectivity ability allows for just about any device to be connected and projected from DVD and Blu-ray players to tablets, phones, games consoles and android boxes/devices including Amazon Fire sticks and boxes. There is also a USB and SD input port available to connect memory cards and pen drives or portable hard drives directly to the projector which can then play a selection of videos and audio files. The addition of a 5 volt USB output port is brilliant for supporting things like Amazon Fire sticks because they also require a 5 volt power supply. In terms of input and output, the projector also support a headphone socket (audio out) which can be connected directly to some speakers and provide a much more satisfying multi-media experience.
There is an adjustable foot at the front to allow adjustments to the projection angle and to really help things out there is a tripod mount on the underside. This is the small thread tripod mount so make sure you have an adapter if you only have the larger threads. After powering up the projector it takes a few seconds for the lamp to warm up to a light level of 1200 lumens. This is much brighter than a lot of other entry level models as they tend to produce only 800 lumens. This increase in light output really makes for a much clearer image in “less than perfect” conditions like when you are unable to create complete darkness.
If the projector is placed at its optimum distance of 7.2 feet away from a wall or screen, it produces an image with a 100 inch diagonal display and this really is pretty large for your average lounge or bedroom. Other sizes of image can be achieved by moving the projector closer or further away.
The lamp itself has a life of approximately 30,000 hours which is plenty. That is like watching 15,000 movies (2 hours each) which in turn is like watching one movie a night for something like 40 years!
The projector is very small at only 19.3 x 14.3 x 6.8 cm and weighing in at a modest 898 g. This makes it a very portable product which makes it great for switching rooms and locations.
The projector arrives professionally boxed complete with a good instruction manual, a UK certified power cable, a remote control (batteries not included), a 3 in 1 AV cable and an HDMI cable. The manual provides nearly all the information about the projector you will need and how to use it.
Overall I believe this to be a great entry level product if you do not already own a projector. It boasts some much better than expected specifications for its price which makes it an excellent purchase. There are 4K products out there but they cost far more and have little 4K material support at the moment. This is not a professional level machine for businesses but in terms of home use I would thoroughly recommend it as it works superbly well and should last for ages.
A final couple of points to note; It has a very good manual focus and keystone correction; power consumption is quite low at only 50 Watts; it has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 which is average for this type of machine and finally is has a hassle-free 12 months warranty and lifetime technical support.
